Moving from classic to volume — is my glue too thick? Wysłany: 2026-05-31 18:43 Zmieniony: 2026-05-31 18:43
I’ve been working with classic lash extensions for a little over a year now and just completed a volume training course. My main struggle right now is that my volume fans keep closing up during application. It feels like my current adhesive has a heavy consistency, which results in bulky and thick bases by the time I place the fan. Do I need to switch to a lower viscosity, thinner glue specifically for volume sets, or is this just a flaw in my attachment technique? Would love some advice. Thanks!

Welcome to the volume world! It is definitely a learning curve. Try dipping your fan very lightly and sliding it down the natural lash a bit to spread the adhesive. If your current glue is on the thicker side, it will definitely close those beautiful fans before you can isolate properly.

tbh it sounds like she’s super sensitive to the fumes. look at the products here https://stacylash.com/collections/glue and try finding a formula that’s labeled as low-fume or sensitive. i switched my watery-eyed clients to a gentler adhesive and it completely fixed the shock curing problem.
